Arrivederci … ?

I disagree to approach the resignation of both Berlusconi and Papandreou, in less than a week, as a “fall” or “shameful” end of their respective governments.

What would actually be a “fall” is to make them subject of trial, of which, the most likely outcome is that they both would end in jail.

Since that will certainly not happen, it’s a sad news that they leave, just to have a pleasant and joyful retirement, under the protection of the “System”.
